The procurement is for Supply of cold static Perfusion Fluid solution and it is split into lots as follows:

Lot 1 - Supply of cold static perfusion fluid UW type solution

Lot 2 - Supply of cold static fluid for lung perfusion (Perfadex type solution, or equivalent).

Lot 3 - Supply of cold static perfusion fluid solution other than UW type or Perfadex Plus type

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

NHSBT is the commissioner responsible for providing funding, infrastructure, clinical guidance and standards to the National Organ Retrieval Service (NORS). NORS is comprised of 16 organ retrieval centres in England, Wales and Scotland, who are responsible for mobilising a retrieval team travelling to donor hospitals in the UK to retrieve organs for transplantation. The NORS teams (13) use the fluids to preserve human organs (kidneys, liver, pancreas, heart and lungs) during retrieval, storage and transportation of the organ from the donor hospital to the transplant centre. The Tender is being carried out by NHSBT to establish framework agreement(s) against which the NORS Centres will call-off without any further competition.

The procurement is split into lots as follows:

Lot 1 - Supply of cold static perfusion fluid UW type solution

Lot 2 - Supply of cold static fluid for lung perfusion (Perfadex type solution, or equivalent).

Lot 3 - Supply of cold static perfusion fluid solution other than UW type or Perfadex Plus

The award of this framework agreement will be on the basis of most economically advantageous tender as per the criteria set out in the Invitation To Tender guidance document available on Bravo (ref. NHSBT1257, itt_1398).

No business whatsoever is guaranteed under any resulting framework agreement or contract indeed there is no guarantee that any framework agreement or contract will be put in place in relation to this notice. No compensation etc will be paid if a tender or resulting framework agreement is withdrawn for any reason. Bidders should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position.
