Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea will be embarking on the recommissioning of a Home Care Service. The current contracts expire in September 2022. The aim is to have new services in place by April 2023

The local authorities want to Develop a new, innovative, and sustainable model for home care as part of a new commissioning strategy. With that aim we will be holding a market engagement event to share the vision for the future applying the learning from all stakeholders from the previous five years of the contracts and learning from the Covid-19 pandemic

With this shift, we want to host a series of engagement opportunities with existing and potential providers, which includes a market engagement event.

This event will provide an opportunity to discuss proposed models and how services will be delivered in the future. We want the market to help support and develop:

• The Council’s intentions to delivering on its Direct Payment Strategy to enable people who want to self-direct and manage their own care and support.

• Develop a new, innovative, and sustainable model for home care as part of a new commissioning strategy

• Understand the market’s readiness for digital delivery of care coordination, payments system for care, onboarding of providers, digital quality assurance and how the use of technologies can support greater independence.

We are keen to hear your views and utilise your expertise to commission a high-quality service. We are particularly interested in working with organisations that can explore and create new approaches to improve the needs of residents.
