Adults with learning disabilities are one of the most vulnerable groups in society, experiencing health inequalities, social exclusion and stigmatisation. In general, adults with learning disabilities have greater and more complex health and social care needs than those without a learning disability.
In Bexley we currently have 602 adults with a learning disability who are receiving services from the Council. National data shows an increase of service users of 14% to the year 2030
Adult Care Services is currently aware of 102 young people with learning disabilities, aged 14 to 18 years, which may potentially require a service (from Adult Care Services)
Suppliers are required to maintain CQC registration and Health & Safety accreditation throughout the life of the contrac
