The Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts (The Code) was launched in 2018. The Code supports clubs and providers who deliver various forms of martial arts to ensure that they have good safeguarding standards in place. Clubs and providers who demonstrate that they have reached and maintained good safeguarding standards will, in turn, be awarded the Code.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Sport England as the contracting authority is tendering for a supplier to deliver the Safeguarding code for Martial Arts. Sport England is seeking through this tendering process to award a contract with a suitably capable Contractor to provide these Services for a term of 41 months. The anticipated contract value is up to £350,000 over the contract period. The estimated annual contract value is £100,000.

The aim of this contract is to procure a new supplier who will take on the management of the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts and grow the number of clubs/providers who demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding and hold the Code’s ‘mark.’ This will include management of the website as well as a project team who are able to provide support to clubs/provider to guide them through the process.
