Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) require the provision of a catering service at ‘Learning and Development Centre, 120 Dungannon Road, Cookstown, BT80 9BD. The site is due to open fully in Q3 2024.
NIFRS currently use a Term Service Contract that covers lunch provision for personnel attending training courses and in 2019 opened a new tactical firefighting training facility outside Cookstown. This is the initial phase of the full relocation of NIFRS’ Learning & Development Centre from Boucher Crescent, Belfast and satellite training facilities elsewhere. Catering facilities in this initial phase are restricted to the provision of microwave meals.
NIFRS objective is to get an understanding from the market what would be the best solution to provide a Catering Service to LDC Cookstown for the launch of the full training facility.
The Pre Market Engagement document provides details of the Catering Specification to enable suppliers to state a preferred option to provide the required catering facilities.
Any information gathered through this market consultation exercise may inform internal business planning and any possible subsequent procurement process and will NOT be appraised in any future tender evaluation exercise.
