The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has a requirement to provide In-service support for workshop equipment. Currently, equipment is procured and supported using traditional mechanisms using a variety of small and medium sized contracts. The Authority would like to reduce the number of contracts and understand industry appetite to innovate and provide alternative options.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Provision of in-service support to Operational Infrastructure Workshop portfolio of equipment. Contractor to provide Servicing, Repair, Technical Support, Procurement, and Training activity for Operational Infrastructure (OI) Workshop Tools and Equipment. The expected services include: Responsibility as Design Authority; Management of Equipment Safety; Post Design Services; In-Service support including maintenance and supply of spares; User Single Point of Contact and CONDO support to operations. Supported equipment includes: Wood and Metalworking machinery, Welding and Cutting equipment; Hot Mobile Pressure washers and steam cleaners; Floor Scrubbers and Sweepers; Warehousing Equipment; Garage and Vehicle test equipment; Lifting equipment and accessories; Gas Forges; Sewing Machines; Soldering Equipment. The authority is prepared to work with a prime contractor to support the portfolio of Workshop Equipment.
