NHS England’s plans for simulation and immersive technologies in health and care explores how high-quality simulation-based programmes can be applied to help address system-wide challenges being faced within the health and care sector. Immersive and simulation technologies are revolutionizing health and care education, growing in popularity across all sectors and disciplines, and offering different ways of supporting and engaging with learners. Application of simulation and immersive technology solutions will help to mitigate the impact on medical training from the COVID-19 pandemic. This is aligned to the national recovery programme.
NHS LPP on behalf of NHS England and Health Education England are leading on the procurement to implement a new Dynamic purchasing System (DPS) as a compliant route to market for buyers and commissioners. The vison is to develop a new national agreement for XR providers focusing on education and training services

The scope of the Dynamic Purchasing System will include but is not limited to the following services- Please note these are not the final categories.
Provision of Hardware
Provision of Software
Provision of Content Development ( including professional services)
The aim of notice/ PIN is to;
1. Create market visibility for the proposed opportunity
2. To gauge level of interest of capable providers with the capacity to deliver and maintain services as outlined
3. To help define the requirements
4. To alert interested providers to the pre-market engagement sessions below
We are planning to conduct pre-market engagement exercise with potential bidders on the following dates:
1st February 2023 for Software providers
6th February 2023 for Hardware providers
9th February 2023 for Content Development ( including professional services)

Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have the opportunity to be invited to 121/group engagement sessions.
