The agreement will replace RM6240 Public Sector Legal Services & RM6284 Costs Lawyer Services 2. It will continue to cover legal specialisms relevant to the public sector.
Crown Commercial Service intends to hold market engagement sessions during early 2025 with suppliers interested in bidding for the resulting panel contracts. If you would like to be involved please express your interest by emailing info@crowncommercial.gov.uk with the subject line ‘RM6374 Supplier Engagement’ no later than midday on Monday 3rd March 2025. Your email must clearly state: name of your organisation, contact details for the individual(s) who will be participating in the market engagement and further details will be provided to you.

This Prior Information Notice is to signal an intention to procure a new Public Sector Legal Services agreement and to that end to commence market engagement within the legal market.
Crown Commercial Service (CCS) as the Authority intends to put in place a Public Sector Agreement for the provision of Legal Services for use primarily by the Wider Public Sector / UK public sector bodies including Health, Education bodies, Local and Regional Government organisations, Emergency Services and Third Sector organisations.
Consideration is being given to the addition of legal training by legal practitioners as a service provided through this agreement. Inclusion of this service will be determined by the outcome of the engagement session held with both buyers and the market.
The drivers for the development and procurement of this agreement are to:
- Provide buyers with a compliant route to market for Legal Services
- Offer an improved agreement for both buyers and suppliers
- Provide buyers with access to high quality legal services
- Achieve value for money
The value in II.1.5 is an indicative value over 4 years.
