Description

This market engagement exercise is a general market enquiry to identify and engage with suppliers who have the potential to provide the following services - the calibration, planned preventative maintenance, reactive repair, associated spare parts and ongoing support of NI Water’s weighbridge system. NI Water currently have 25 weighbridges located at 8 Wastewater Treatment Works throughout Northern Ireland. NI Water require interested suppliers to be a member of the UK Weighing Federation (or equivalent) and maintain membership throughout the contract period.

NI Water are seeking to assess the interest, capacity and capability of the market in providing this type of service. NI Water are also interested in receiving feedback from the market on the different experiences, approaches and models used in other sectors / utilities for the provision of this service.

The Information Pack contains additional information about NI Water’s requirements for this service and a “Supplier Questionnaire” which suppliers are to complete and return by 5pm on Wednesday 21st January 2026.

It is anticipated that an analysis of the Supplier Questionnaire responses will be used to select the best procurement strategy to deliver this service in the future.
