    • absence of competition for technical reasons

Explanation:

An RFI was published via Contracts Finder and the Find a Tender service, describing the scope of requirements. This allowed us to assess the market to determine whether there were any other potential suppliers that could offer not only the equipment with the specified technical requirements, but also the delivery, installation, commissioning, after-sales services (including maintenance, repair, warranty, troubleshooting, support, decommissioning and disposal). Only one response was received, which did not meet our requirements. Given this, we have gone ahead with awarding the contract to RPS Service Ltd.
