two.2.4) Description of the procurement

York St John University intends to procure a contractor to undertake the resurfacing of a 3G football pitch located at its Haxby Road sports facility. The works will address undulations caused by historical settling and replace the pitch surface to meet the latest Football Association (FA) and Regulation 22 standards. The pitch was originally installed in 2014. Scope of Works: 1.Removal and disposal of the existing infill and carpet. 2.Remediation of the undulation in the existing in-situ shock pad. 3.Repairs to the sub-base as necessary to ensure a level playing surface. 4.Installation of a new carpet/pile with stabilising and performance infill. 5.Obtain certifications for FA and Regulation 22 compliance. 6.Explore sustainable disposal of existing materials and the use of environmentally friendly alternatives such as cork infill.
