The right to additional purchases while the contract is valid.
The awarded contract will be governed by the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) Option A, a priced contract with an activity schedule. Modifications to the contract price or
completion date are typically managed through compensation
events, as defined in the Contract. The listed events are wide
ranging and cover many scenarios which could result in a
change to the cost of the work, or the time needed to
complete it.
Within the tender documentation, the Council identified contract risks that could jeopardise the satisfactory performance of the contract, but because of their nature, cannot be addressed in the contract as awarded. The Authority reserves the right to modify the contract if any of the identified risks materialise, within certain limitations.
