NOTE: The Prior Information Notice and this additional information relates to a consultation exercise only.

Scotland Excel has developed and currently manages a framework for Care Homes for Adults with Learning Disabilities Including Autism on behalf of Scottish Local Authorities and Associate Members.

The current arrangement is due to expire on 15 September 2023. Purchasers wish Scotland Excel to re-tender this framework, with an anticipated start date of 16 September 2023.

Scotland Excel would now like to invite interested parties to participate in a consultation to assist (dates to be confirmed) the development of the third-generation framework, to be titled Care Homes for Adults with Learning Disabilities Including Autism.

This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN) relating only to a consultation exercise with providers of Care Homes for Adults with Learning Disabilities Including Autism.

This is not a procurement process at this stage.

Scotland Excel is currently looking at options for a third generation framework (previously Care Homes for Adults with Learning Disabilities Including Autism), and wishes to engage with a broad range of providers for these services. Please note, we may potentially expand to wider care groups such as Mental Health, Physical and Sensory Impairment.

Anticipated development of a third generation framework agreement for specialist residential services for people with Learning Disabilities Including Autism who need intensive care and support in a 24 hour setting, and have complex needs which may include autism, mental health problems or behaviours which challenge services.

Scotland Excel endeavours to implement the most effective framework for both purchasers and providers and therefore invites providers to provide input in relation to the scope and structure of the potential framework.
