two.1.4) Short description

Wolverhampton City Council (the “Council”) invites bids for admittance from suitably experienced and qualified Providers to undertake a new model, ‘Roof over our heads’. This new model consists of two lots (bids will be accepted for either lots separately or both lots jointly):

• Lot 1 – Young Families Housing Support & Social Inclusion

• Lot 2 – Emergency Homelessness Prevention Service

Lot 1 - Young Families Housing Support & Social Inclusion

Provision to provide support services including access to 24hr emergency contact and secure entry procedures and will focus on one site with 10 units for young parents who are:

• in care up to age 18 years, or

• are on the edge of care, up to age 18 years, or

• are care leavers up to age 25, or

• whose children are at risk of care

Lot 2 - Emergency Homelessness Prevention Service

Provision to provide safe and secure emergency housing allowing social care team to make an appropriate placement decision. This would be a short-term placement of a few nights to 3 months (assessment period) and is for young people who are:

• aged 16-17 and at risk of coming into care

• not legally allowed to hold any accommodation or housing tenancy agreement due to their age
