Explanation:

The University intends to award this agreement under regulation 33.1.b.ii of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations.

Equipment to be procured must be capable of measuring high speed press deformation and displacement vectors at multiple points using a buffer trigger at press strike in medium to large forging presses. The dynamic measurement system identified contains patented technology (DE102017212415 (A1) ― 2019-01-24) which allows end and mid triggers for precise capture of press strikes whilst saving-off lower frame rate images.
