two.1.4) Short description

The Commissioner is seeking the views of Healthcare Providers in relation to the provision of Primary Care services to a registered population of approximately 8,236 patients (as of October 2023) under an APMS contract. The Commissioner is considering a contract period of between seven and nine years, this remains subject to finalisation.

Our aim is to re-procure an APMS contract to provide Primary Care services to those patients registered in Whitehawk and the surrounding area of Brighton and Hove, which includes an area of high deprivation. The contract will be the National APMS contract 2023/24, with annual contract variations as published by NHS England.

The provider will ensure the service is integrated with local general practices through the Primary Care Network (PCN), Integrated Community Team (ICT) and the local voluntary and community sector. The service will include care navigation and social prescribing services. Patients will be navigated by staff to the most appropriate health, social care or housing services for their needs. This needs to include a Make Every Contact Count (MECC) approach to help ensure effective signposting.

From January 8 - 19 January, we are extending an invitation to interested parties to respond to this RFI. If you would like to have a further conversation about this offer, please contact us via the Atamis eTendering portal.

This Request for Information (RFI) process is designed to help the Commissioner to form a view of the best way to commission the service and is not the beginning of a Tender exercise. A Tender advertisement may be issued at the appropriate time, if required, should the Commissioner consider that the optimum route to commission the service is through a procurement process.

Your feedback at this point will not have a bearing on any future Tender submissions you may wish to offer later, should the Commissioner undertake a procurement for this service. You will not be disadvantaged if you choose not to respond to this RFI, but it will be helpful to understand your views at this early stage, so you are encouraged to respond as fully as you can.

Interested providers will be able to view this opportunity via the live opportunities list on the 'Health Family' e-procurement system, Atamis. Click on 'View our Live Opportunities' from the home page, available on the following link: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome.
