two.2.4) Description of the procurement

On behalf of the Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime (MOPAC), the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has a requirement for Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and seeks feedback from suppliers as part of a market research exercise as notified within the PIN.

The MPS aspires to install 600 charging points across numerous sites on our estate by 2025. The anticipated future estate will comprise of circa 150 buildings, with 80 of those with onsite generation. We also have numerous stations that have dedicated Police parking bays outside the premises in public areas where charging points could also be installed.

two.2.14) Additional information

The MPS may access an existing Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Solutions Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) agreement (reference RM6213), let and run by Crown Commercial Services (CCS). The MPS will use the DPS filtering tool as a mechanism to ascertain a list of capable suppliers (who are already on the DPS) and create an export list in order to conduct a further competition.

MPS e-TENDERING PORTAL

The MPS will use an e-tendering portal to invite shortlisted suppliers in accordance with the filtered DPS list and issue an ITT for a competition. Interested suppliers must therefore be fully registered on the MPS’s e-tendering portal in order to participate in the tender process. Further details of the MPS’s e-tendering portal will be published at the point that a list of capable suppliers is shortlisted via the CCS DPS. Please note existing and new suppliers on the DPS and within the filter range will be obliged to also ensure they are fully registered on the MPS’s own e-tendering portal. The MPS will not be responsible for new supplier registrations and their access rights to this portal.

This PIN is issued solely for the purpose market engagement and to ensure all potential suppliers are aware of a potential opportunity for the MPS. This PIN does not constitute any offer or commitment by the MPS/MOPAC or any of its stakeholders to undertake any public procurement exercise in the future.
