The LLG Schools Partnership comprises 15 Primary Schools in the Leigh, Lowton and Golborne area of Greater Manchester. The successful supplier will be required to provide school catering services to the group.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The LLG (Leigh, Lowton & Golborne) Schools Partnership is a consortium of 15 Primary Schools in the Greater Manchester Region of England in the Leigh, Lowton, Golborne and Atherton areas. The successful supplier will be required to provide school catering services to the whole group of schools:

St Mary's Primary; Leigh St Thomas CE Primary; Bedford Hall Methodist Primary; Westleigh Methodist Primary; Leigh CE Primary; Westleigh St Paul's CE Primary; Leigh St Peter's CE Primary ; Lowton Primary; Gilded Hollins Community; St. Catherine's RC Primary; All Saints RC Primary; St Luke's CE Primary; Atherton St George CE Primary; Atherton Chowbent Primary; St Marks CE Primary.

The contract will commence on 1st September 2023 for three years to 31st August 2026, with the option to extend for a further two years from 1st September 2026. The total numbers on roll (NOR) for the schools is approximately 3,600. The approximate value of the contract is £4million.

There is currently an incumbent catering organisation providing this service. TUPE will apply to this contract. Note that there are currently catering staff members who are enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It is understood that this is the Greater Manchester Pensions Scheme (GMPS). Potential suppliers must be able to demonstrate their capability in running Admitted Body Status (ABS) to the GMPS or similar schemes.

This is a restricted procedure and will follow a two-stage process. Those suppliers who are shortlisted from this (SSQ) stage will be invited to submit a fully priced tender under a competitive exercise.
