two.1.4) Short description

A replacement autoclave is required for sterilisation of media and equipment, the current machine (LTE Touchclave R) is old and not fit for purpose due to the time taken to complete each cycle and the capacity / shape of the chamber. Current Cycles required are as shown in the table below (the machine must have capacity for additional cycles to be added)

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The new autoclave is required to have:

• Chamber capacity of at least 200 litres

• Overall dimensions, depth no larger than 1200mm (approx. dimensions to be ~1800mm high x 800 mm wide x 1200mm deep)

• A removable shelf

• Armoured ballast (product) probe

• Cooling jacket or similar means of cooling items at the end of the cycle

• Cooling cycle must take no longer than 60 minutes for any load

• A paperless chart recording with the function of being connected via network cable (via CAT 7 data point) to Eurotherm Software

• Linked to a paper printer as a back up to the paperless system

• Programming must be open code (including autoclave cycles to allow them to be adjusted by competent staff)

• Easily accessible to allow servicing and changing of components to comply with all relevant standards

• All probes must be calibrated to UKAS standards.
