seven.2) Other additional information
South Gloucestershire Council has been committed over the past 3 months in undertaking procurement activity to build our Pseudo DPS Care and Support in Your Home. This has seen interest from over 150 prospective partners.
The new model of working in Home, Community and Partnership and being open to both regulated and non regulated providers will see significant change to how we work together. As we anticipate that the Reablement Contract will be called off from the Pseudo DPS, we have made the decision to postpone recommissioning of our Reablement Service until 2026. This is because we wish to build our relationships with these partners, and consult on the service specification before procurement.
There will also be some internal structure changes expected in the spring/ summer of 2025 which could make implementation of a new contract challenging. As a Local Authority we view our Reablement Service as key to our model.
Co production activity will continue with our Care and Support in Your Home partners during 2025 with the intention to recommission in 2026.
