The Authority wishes to appoint suppliers to the Framework for Acquisition of Weed Boats and Amphibious Weed Harvesters. The Environment Agency uses a number of different types of weed cutting boats and harvesters for essential river maintenance. This maintenance includes managing floating weed, submerged plants, obstructions and other debris in our waterways, ditches and channels. The access and environmental issues requires maintenance to be undertaken using boats rather than construction type equipment.
