two.2.4) Description of the procurement
A LC-QQQ MS instrument package is required for the National Environmental Isotope Facility Bristol Laboratory (NEIF-B) based in the School of Chemistry, University of Bristol. It will be dedicated to performing normal and reverse phase chromatographic analysis of a wide range of targets. The successful bid shall provide a package that shall enable robust and cost-effective routine, high-volume throughput of samples with minimal maintenance and built-in redundancy thereby enabling near continuous operation. The instruments shall also be used by the Organic Geochemistry Unit (OGU; https://www.bristol.ac.uk/chemistry/research/ogu/), whose labs in which they will be housed, and more widely by other academic researchers under the auspices of the Bristol Biogeochemistry Research Centre (BBRC; http://www.bristol.ac.uk/bbrc/) and Cabot Institute (http://www.bris.ac.uk/cabot/).
