two.1.4) Short description

A single contractor will be appointed to deliver a managed network service to our student residential accommodation, at our Colchester and Southend Campuses in Essex, delivering high speed internet access.

The system must provide both cabled and Wi-Fi internet service provision to every study bedroom at two campuses, Colchester (2686 rooms) and Southend (562 rooms), relevant to the occupancy of the room, and Wi-Fi provision in all study bedrooms and common spaces of each accommodation building.

The University is committed to ensuring the successful bidder is "fit for purpose" to deliver the required service and can demonstrate a track record of delivering similar work.

The contract period will be for an initial term of 5 years with options to extend at the end of year 5 for a further 2 periods of 1 year each.
