Livesey Hall Footbridge PTSI Post Tensioned Inspection
- Blackburn With Darwen Borough Council
Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-06eb90
Description
Livesey Hall Rail Bridge is a council owned footbridge comprising a post tensioned concrete main beam structure spanning the railway near Cherry Tree, Pleasington.
Livesey Hall Rail Bridge is regularly inspected visually from the surface however, it requires a full Post Tensioned Inspection and Management Plan to inspect, manage and maintain effectively and to log and reduce risks.
Network Rail have requested our structure management strategy too as it represents a risk over their lines.
Prices to inspect and produce a management plan were requested with only one price received from Pell Frischmann.
The works required to inspect, assess and manage post tensioned bridges are highly specialist - the other companies invited to price struggled to provide the service with only Pell Frischmann being able to provide the services and price them as a competent, knowledgeable and sensible phased package approach.
Each phase being undertaken individually; the next phase would be tailored according to the previous stage's findings.
