West London Waste Authority (WLWA) is exploring the use of AI-enabled camera technology on waste collection vehicles to help identify and monitor contamination in household recycling collections.
WLWA is undertaking market engagement to understand what solutions are available and which suppliers may be able to support a future pilot.
The technology is expected to provide camera-based monitoring, contamination identification and suitable reporting or dashboard functionality.
The aim of this market engagement is to identify suppliers in the market that provide the required technology and support.
