HAR6192 Mayor's Accelerated Housing Programme Batch 1
- Tower Hamlets
Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-0697cf
Description
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets' (LBTH) Mayor's Accelerated Housing Programme (MAHP) is one of the largest and most ambitious borough-led housing delivery programmes in London. Taking a portfolio-based approach, the MAHP has been established to accelerate the delivery of high-quality affordable and family-sized homes across 42 Council-owned sites over the next five plus years. By taking a programmatic approach, the MAHP moves away from a more traditional, piecemeal, site-by-site and sequential approach to housing development, by moving ahead at scale and with pace.
The procurement of the 42 sites will be conducted in batches. This tender notice concerns 'Batch 1' which comprises the first nine sites. Full planning permission for housing developments on all nine sites is currently being sought by the Council.
The purpose of this procurement is to procure the delivery of all nine Batch 1 sites. The procurement is being split into two Lots - Lot 1: (small scale delivery) and Lot 2 (larger scale delivery)
Lot 1: This Lot consists of three sites (Strout's Place (5 homes) , Back Church Lane (19 homes) and Gill Street (11 homes)), all of which require the delivery of affordable housing.
Lot 2: This Lot consists of six sites (Tent Street, Southern Grove, Chisenhale, 33 - 37 The Oval, Bethnal Green and Tomlinson Close), which require a mix of affordable housing and market sale housing to be delivered.
Tenderers can bid for:
(1) Lot 1 only;
(2) Lot 2 only; or
(3) Lots 1 and 2.
Full details of the procurement are set out in the PSQ Instructions and Invitation to Tender documents.
