Derbyshire County Council (DCC) is seeking to appoint an experienced specialist conservation and heritage Contractor to provide repairs and all necessary reinstatement work for Paul's Arm Bridge in Shipley Lake Reservoir, Heanor

Description

To maintain the structural integrity of the bridge proposed maintenance works are listed below:

• Site Clearance,

• Reconstruction of missing parts of downstream (southeast & southwest) wingwalls and pilasters with matching ashlar stone masonry,

• Repointing of masonry arch barrel, arch face and wing walls,

• Cleaning of brickwork and stone masonry,

• Removal of graffiti on masonry work,

• Removal of existing downstream (south) parapet,

• Installation of new upstream (north) and downstream (south) parapets,

• De-vegetation of masonry and around wingwalls,

• Resurfacing over the existing tarmac track.
