Description
It is the intention of Derry City and Strabane District Council, as the Employer, to appoint a Civil Engineer led Integrated Consultant Team (ICT). The ICT will design, secure planning approval, procure, manage and supervise the construction of extensions to Ballyoan, Strabane, Mountcastle and Castlederg cemeteries. Construction of New Burial Plots Within Existing Cemetery Boundaries (Red and blue area of Mountcastle) (approximately £750,000 to £850,000 construction value). The first part consists of the construction of new burial plots and associated siteworks and infrastructure within the existing boundaries of each of the four cemeteries. The ICT will design and cost all aspects of the required works and then procure, manage and supervise the construction of extensions by the appointed Integrated Supply Team (IST) i.e. RIBA Work Stages 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. The ICT will act as the CDM Regs Principal Designer for the design phase of Part 1 of the project. The ICT will act as the NEC4 (Option B) Project Manager and Supervisor for the construction phase of Part 1 of the project and continue to act as the CDM Regs Principal Designer advising the Employer and ensuring the IST is complying with it role and duties under the CDM Regs. As an aid to understanding the scope of services associated with this commission, DCSDC has prepared high-level draft concept masterplans of the extent of the extensions at each cemetery and draft high level brief costs and plots spreadsheet.
