- Cambridgeshire County Council
Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-058070
Description
The Council is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced UK-based service provider to undertake research and analysis of the role nature-based solutions could play in the financial viability of low carbon energy projects.
This project is looking to develop a theoretical, evidence-based report to improve understanding of how nature-based solutions and ecosystem services could:
• Deliver financial benefits in the context of net zero projects
• Reduce long-term climate and operational risks associated with projects
• Strengthen the investment case for nature-inclusive energy or infrastructure schemes
• Explore mechanisms for monetising biodiversity or ecosystem services
• Generate 1-2 plausible demonstrator concepts that could be taken forward
The main deliverables will include the Main report presenting the key findings of the research, an executive summary and a slide pack of the report findings. The contract for this programme will run for approximately 2 months, concluding on the 30th November 2025.
