- NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership-Procurement Services (hosted by Velindre University NHS Trust)
Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-0562f4
Description
Due to exponential demand on services, HDUHB seeks to appoint suitable Provider(s) to support the Children's Neurodevelopmental
Autism Spectrum Diagnostic (ASD) service to manage and reduce our waiting list in respect of diagnostic assessments.
Patient cohorts would only be allocated to the external provider as and when funding becomes available, the funding streams include but
are not limited to; Core Funding, Slippage Monies and any other sources of additional funding allocated to the service.
HDUHB intends to award to a single or number of Provider(s) for children and young people over an initial three (3) year period with an
option to extend for a further two (2) years. This is a zero-commitment contract, with volumes and service agreed between the HDUHB
children's Neurodevelopmental service and Provider(s) as funding allows.
Provision of Autism Spectrum Diagnosis (ASD) assessments, this requires a specialist approach, with specific standards to be met in
accordance with NICE Guidelines, around:
Multi-disciplinary Team Approach
Gathering of Childhood development history
Undertaking Clinical interview with informant
Clinical Interview with individual
Observation Assessment
School information
Use of a valid diagnostic tool as specified in current NICE guidance
Diagnostic Threshold as set out in DSM5 or ICD-11
