Description

Leicester City Council ('the 'Authority') invites Tenders for the provision of HENRY Programme.

Further details in respect of this tender opportunity is contained within the Invitation to Tender documentation pack.

Henry stands for 'Health, Exercise and Nutrition for the Really Young'. The Henry approach is a unique and holistic approach of working with families with children aged 0-5 that is underpinned by the evidence on risk and protective factors for whole-family nutrition, healthy weight and child development.

The Henry approach brings together support for parenting efficacy, family emotional wellbeing and behaviour change with information about nutrition, physical activity, oral health and more. Parents and children supported by Henry become a healthier weight and make statistically significant lifestyle changes which independent clinical trials show are sustained at follow-up.

The provider will offer sessions that support parents to give themselves and their children the best opportunity to develop healthy relationships with food and physical activity.

The proposed Contract will be for an initial period of 2 years to commence on 31st October 2025 to 30th October 2027 (initial term) with an option to extend, subject to satisfactory performance outcomes and agreement by the Authority, for two further periods of one year to 31st March 2029, taking the contract term to a maximum of 4 years.

Submissions must be received by 12:00 noon on 27th August 2025 at the very latest via the EastMidsTender portal: https://www.eastmidstenders.org/
