Specialist Domestic Abuse Services
- Wolverhampton City Council
Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-0519c0
Description
City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) is preparing to commission specialist support services for victims of domestic abuse, including children. Informed by best practice, the new services will respond to local need and recognise the rich diversity of the city.
In accordance with Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021, the new services will respond to the duty on local authorities to provide support for all victims of domestic abuse and their children within safe and 'relevant' accommodation.
They will also be expected to make a key contribution to Wolverhampton's response to children affected by domestic abuse as victims in their own right, as set out in the Act (2021).
Consideration is being given to the division of lots, with configuration to be determined.
CWC would like to invite market providers to attend two engagement events aimed at informing and refining the new service specifications. One event will focus on safe accommodation and the other on the commissioning model.
As well as engagement events, individual drop-in slots will also be made available, where providers will have the opportunity to meet CWC to discuss aspects of the commission.
