Description

Moulton College has conducted a tender to appoint a company to provide a fully managed catering service to College students and staff, with occasional pre-arranged catering of events. However, the Provider is actively encouraged to maximise the commercial opportunity available to expand the service by offering catering / refreshments for evening and weekend events and to external customers.

The primary objective of the contract is to ensure that a high standard of catering is maintained, providing a highly proactive, appealing, and nutritious catering service that makes a significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of the students.

The Customer will enter into a contract with a Provider who:

• is a suitably qualified supplier of catering services,

•can deliver a fully managed, outsourced catering service to the Customer's sites,

•can offer an affordable contract costing model, ultimately reducing the cost to the Customer,

•will support the Customer's aims of providing high quality, healthy and nutritious meals, at an affordable price,

•will work in close partnership with the Customer to offer age appropriate, hot and cold meals which exceed the Government's requirements for School Food Standards and take into account individual student dietary requirements where necessary,

•will work with the Customer to market and maximise the number of student meals being bought,

•will maximise the commercial opportunity offered by the Customer's catering facilities, particularly the coffee shops, by taking advantaged of additional opportunities offered by

weekend and evening events (sporting events, open days etc.).

The Contract is for a period of three years with three options to extend of 12 months each.
