DHSC: GPH: National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS)

  • Department of Health & Social Care

Procurement identifier (OCID): ocds-h6vhtk-04ea27

Description

Data from the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS) provides a key mechanism for monitoring the successful delivery of drug and alcohol treatment services. Given the strong link between substance misuse and poor health and criminal activity, this data contributes to delivery of the Health and Safer Streets missions as it enables the monitoring of drug treatment capacity, improvements in the quality of provision and underpins wider performance monitoring by providing timely and accessible data.

This contract requires the supplier to produce analysis and statistical information to support local commissioning of drug and alcohol treatment using data from NDTMS. This includes independent production of national and official statistics publications and supporting data, independent verification of responses to FOI and PQ requests, and research publications requiring academic expertise. The supplier is also required to produce and support the web presence of public access national statistics from data collected through the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System, and provide professional reporting of management information via restricted, secure access routes.
