The Customer wishes to establish a single Provider Contract for the provision of The Violence Intervention Project (VIP) in A&E and in police custody , which are the VRN’s flagship interventions. They are examples of tertiary prevention interventions in that they seek to prevent repeat victimisation and recurrences of perpetration.
The initial contract term is for 17 months from 1st November 2022 until 31st March 2024, with the option to extend for a maximum period of 12 months, with a final end date of 31st March 2025.
The initial contract cost cannot exceed £410,000 for the initial contract term. The extension cost cannot exceed £219,000; therefore, the total contract cost cannot exceed more than £629,000.
