Changes to published notices

Procurement Act 2023 notice types

Procurement Act 2023 notices can be edited to correct any mistakes. When this is done, a new version of the notice is created with a new web address. This replaces the old version in search results but all previous versions of the notice remain available for reference. Note the following restrictions:

  • The procedure type cannot be changed - for example, open procedure, competitive flexible procedure, award under framework, or direct award.
  • UK4 tender notices cannot be edited after the submission deadline has passed.
  • Notices cannot be edited if the procurement process has moved on to the next stage - for example, a UK3 planned procurement notice cannot be edited after a linked UK4 tender notice has been published.
  • Contracts cannot be added to a notice - if another contract has been awarded/signed, publish another linked notice of the same type.
  • Contracts cannot be removed from a notice and related lots cannot be changed - if information about a contract has been published in error, publish a linked UK11 contract termination notice or a UK12 procurement termination notice, then publish another notice of the same type including a new contract with the correct information.

The following notices cannot be edited - publish an additional notice of the same type to correct any mistakes:

  • UK10 contract change notices
  • UK15 dynamic market modification notices

UK7 contract details notices can also be edited to attach signed contract documents. Publish an additional UK10 contract change notice to attach signed modified contract documents.

Notices types from earlier legislation

Changes are made to notices from earlier legislation by publishing additional notices describing the changes.

Minor corrections

For minor corrections to text, dates, times or CPV codes, or to provide additional information, publish an F14 corrigendum notice. Note that:

  • The opportunity or award must not be significantly affected.
  • You can make multiple corrections in a single corrigendum notice.
  • If multiple corrigendum notices change the same information, the most recent applies.

Major changes

For major changes to a tender stage notice, discontinue the current procedure and publish a new tender stage notice. To discontinue the procedure:

  • Under PCR, UCR or CCR, publish an award notice and select that a contract is not awarded.
  • Under the DSPCR, publish a corrigendum notice and enter details in section VII.2.

Changes to scope, duration, value or suppliers of signed contracts

For changes to the scope, duration, value or suppliers of a signed contract:

  • Under PCR, UCR or CCR, publish an F20 modification notice.
  • Under the DSPCR or transport legislation, publish a replacement award notice.

Where to publish

If the original notice was published on Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) before 1 January 2021, the correction must be published there. The same correction may also be published on Find a Tender.
