The work includes installing an ACO type drain to the West end of the bridge and minor regrading of the approaches at the East and West Entrances of the bridge. The reconstruction works briefly comprise: • Installing Traffic Management • Obtaining all necessary permits and possessions • Removing surfacing, street lighting and service box • Protecting services • Removing the existing steel footbridge and supports • Checking and making good the concrete surfaces to the trestles and bearing surfaces • Extending the existing seat structure • Install new bearing plates and removable deck plates • Install the new trestles and footbridge • Install new ACO drain run to West end, connecting into the existing surface water drain • Replace any kerbs disturbed during the works • Make good existing footpath surface • Remove traffic management The Contractor to provide all necessary transport, tools, access equipment, appropriate welfare, water disposal and clearance on completion in order to carry out the works effectively. We require full risk and method statements (RAMS) before commencement.
