Alleviate pressure on primary and secondary healthcare services by providing an alternative, community-based option for ear care.
Patients accepted and treated within the specified timeframes.
Patients leave empowered with the knowledge to self-manage where appropriate.
Staff trained to appropriate clinical and professional
The Commissioners are keen to receive feedback on the draft service specification and associated schedules.
The aim of this Expression of Interest is to;
1. provide the market with visibility of the proposed opportunity;
2. support the ICB decision making to inform the future commissioning of services (as applicable);
3. to help define the future service approach, model and timelines;
4. to gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity across the region to deliver the services noted above.
5. Invite interested Providers to provide feedback on the draft service specification and associated schedules.
A further advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time. You will not be disadvantaged in any subsequent process if you choose not to respond to this market testing process, but the Commissioner wishes to understand your views. The aim of this Expression of Interest is to;
1. provide the market with visibility of the proposed opportunity;
2. support the ICB decision making to inform the future commissioning of services (as applicable);
3. to help define the future service approach, model and timelines;
4. to gauge the level of interest from the market of capable providers with capacity across the region to deliver the services noted above.
5. Invite interested Providers to provide feedback on the draft service specification and associated schedules.
A further advertisement will be issued at the appropriate time. You will not be disadvantaged in any subsequent process if you choose not to respond to this market testing process, but the Commissioner wishes to understand your views. This process has been abandoned under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply.Commissions have taken the decision to abandon the current process, due to a number of factors, including but not limited to the merger of NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB and NHS Suffolk and North East Essex ICB from 1st April 2026. The relative importance of the Key Criteria was deemed appropriate based on the requirements of the service
The rationale for awarding to the preferred provider was that they have passed all pass/fail questions in the basic selection questionnaire and ranked as the highest scoring provider based on their overall Key Criteria score within this Provider Selection Process.
This contract relates to an existing service and is being awarded to an new Provider. The contract is expected to commence 3rd February 2025 and will expire 2nd February 2028 with the option to extend for up to an additional 2 years."
