BCU are seeking to commission an additional community pharmacy to provide the Urgent Medicine Service on a Sunday to improve patient access.

Commissioning Opportunity: Urgent Medicine Service – Dwyfor Locality (Sunday Provision)

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCU) currently commissions the Urgent Medicine Service through nine community pharmacy hubs to enhance access to palliative and urgent medicines. However, Sunday coverage remains limited.

BCU is now seeking to commission a community pharmacy contractor to deliver the Urgent Medicine Service in the Dwyfor locality specifically on Sundays. This procurement will follow the Most Suitable Provider Process under The Health Services (Provider Selection Regime) (Wales) Regulations 2025.
