Description of the Procurement: The Supply shall include the following technical deliverables and activities:
Access to a database/web portal managed by the Contractor and that provides access to the following
listed types of content.
• Research, in the forms of articles, graphics, presentations about current IT trends
o General IT trends with a focus on IT management (CIO) related topics
o Information and comparisons about Enterprise Applications incl. the qualification of
solutions by their maturity, vision completeness and ability to execute on their
objectives.
o Information/research about specific IT trends and the related lifecycle and information
and research about the maturity of a given technology.
o Information/research about organisational IT topics (e.g. ways of working, building
effective teams, measuring productivity).
• Vendor-independent (fully neutral and without any other self-interest than presenting/selling
the information) evaluations of solutions for different purposes in the Enterprise Application
space (some non-exhaustive examples are HR Information Systems, CRM systems, ERP systems, Enterprise Architecture and Business Process Modelling solutions, Artificial
Intelligence chat systems and coding assistants etc.).
• Provide online tools that allow preparing for procurement of IT services and Enterprise
Applications. These tools include access to vendor/tool/services comparisons, provide access
to domain specific technical and functional evaluation criteria and questions.
In addition to the access to documentation about IT trends, market evaluations as well as solution
comparisons/evaluations, the licences shall provide access to:
• Webinars about topics in line with the available research as outlined above.
• Direct (online) face to face meetings on any IT domain topic covered by the platform to
exchange with subject matter experts and to guide further research.
• Tailored feedback, comments and advice from the Contractor’s subject matter experts on
documents prepared internally by CERN on IT domain topics.
The Contractor shall actively curate the content provided via its web portal and keep the research information about IT trends, tool/solution vendors regularly updated. For instance, tool/vendor comparisons for common Enterprise Applications (such as CRM, ERP, HRIS and similar systems) shall be updated on at least a yearly basis. All services are meant to be delivered remotely, i.e. via the access to an Internet based web portal as well as online meetings.
