It also includes a family link worker service, to assess young carers and their families, attend Team Around the Child (TAC) meetings as appropriate, and liaise with outside agencies to ensure that the cared-for young person receives an appropriate package of support. A school support service for primary and secondary schools and colleges raises awareness across all schools/colleges in Stockport to ensure that young carers are identified at the earliest opportunity, through, for example, assemblies and staff training sessions.
