Explanation:
No other reasonable alternative or substitute exists for this procurement and the absence of competition for technical reasons is not a result of the artificial narrowing of the parameters of the procurement. Lynton are the sole supplier of these products in the UK and Ireland. This particular laser is used for endobronchial procedures in addition to thoracotomy for removing metastatic lesions. No other available laser can provide these procedures using one piece of equipment.
