Provision of an Annual Pantomime Production at Swansea Grand Theatre

Swansea Grand Theatre has a reputation for facilitating first class, star led, and quality family pantomimes.

Swansea Grand Theatre is a large theatre in South West Wales that was opened in 1897. The theatre is owned and maintain by the Local Authority. The theatre facilitates a number of large scale productions through to smaller amateur shows. We are a large venue with a main auditorium that has the capacity of seating 1,020, a depot studio with the capacity of seating 200 and several meeting and commercial spaces available for hire.

The pantomime season at Swansea Grand Theatre is a vitally important part of the cultural life of the City.

Provision of an Annual Pantomime Production at Swansea Grand Theatre

Swansea Grand Theatre has a reputation for facilitating first class, star led, and quality family pantomimes. The Council is looking to increase patron numbers. Increase financial yield to the Council and maintain customer satisfaction with the production.

The pantomime would need to be a visual spectacle, of high quality set, spectacular special effects and with bright, eye catching costumes.

The Producers will act as co –producers with Swansea Grand Theatre and developing positive working relationships and communication links within and outside of the arts and cultural sector. As part of this partnership we aspire to delivering a production that explored other avenues to maximise income
